Hosting is one of the first decisions a small business or blogger makes online, and one of the most confusing. Hosts compete on promotional prices and big claims, and now most of them add AI site builders and assistants to the pitch. The real differences, such as renewal prices, plan limits, support and how hard it is to leave, are harder to find.

HostHangout exists to make that first decision easier. Each category follows a piece of getting a site online, and each listing says in one plain line what the service does, with a link to the official site. We leave out speed scores and rankings we could not back up, and we label paid placements clearly, so a small site owner can make a short list and check the details themselves.

We write every description ourselves and check that each service is live before it appears. If you spot a mistake, tell us and we will fix it at the next rebuild.

HostHangout sorts hosting and site tools by the job they do for a small website: where it is hosted, how WordPress is run, the domain, the email, security, backups, the AI tools inside WordPress, and the checks you run once the site is live. Each listing says what the service does and which basic facts we could confirm. We do not run speed or uptime tests, so there are no scores or ranked lists.

Services we cannot confirm stay unpublished until we can. We recheck listings and remove ones that close, merge or change direction.
